Diamondback DB15 PISTOL 7.5? BARREL 5.56MM Review

The DIAMONDBACK DB15 PISTOL 7.5? BARREL 5.56MM is a mid-level AR-15 for defense, hunting and recreational use. This rifle is built to last with forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers and a 16" 4150 chrome-moly free float barrel. It also features a magnetic particle inspected, shot-peened bolt carrier. It is available in a variety of finishes including matte black, tan and camouflage.

DB15 Rifles Are Made All In America

Diamondback Firearms started in 2009 with the DB9 polymer pocket pistol and has expanded its product line to include a wide array of firearms. The company recently jumped into the AR-15 market with the DB15 line of rifles and pistols, making it a no-brainer for gun fans and collectors looking to diversify their arsenals.

DB15 Rifles Can Have Many Different Components And Finishes

Diamondback’s DB15 family of AR-15 pattern rifles all feature a 16" barrel and can have a variety of grip, stock and handguard options. They are assembled with carbine buffer systems and use the standard AR15 gas system. They measure 37 inches long and weigh 7 to 8 pounds unloaded, which is just as compact and handy as other 16" ARs.

Diamondback db15 pistol can be found in a variety of colors and finishes with cerakoted receivers and OD green, desert tan, tungsten gray, burnt copper or a type-3 hard anodize coating on the receivers. They are also offered in a 2-tone color scheme with a white receiver and a color matched lower receiver, and can be fitted with an ambidextrous safety selector.

All DB15 Rifles Are Built to Last

Diamondback builds its DB15 line with a tried-and-true U.S. Military-proven gas-impingement system and uses only the highest quality components machined in its CNC facility. The DB15 raises the bar on features and performance, giving users a versatile weapon that can be used in many situations and environments.

Shooting and Function:

This PISTOL performed flawlessly in our testing with a variety of ammunition loads, all within the ammo parameters set by Diamondback. The pistols functioned with SIG SAUER 124 grain JHP, Federal HST 124 grain and Speer Gold Dot 124 gr loads with complete reliability in both gel and street shooting.

Controls:

This PISTOL controls are just as straightforward and shaped as a typical AR-15. The magazine release, bolt release and charging handle are all located in the normal positions for easy access and manipulation, and the curved, smooth-faced trigger is dead center of the factory 6 to 8-pound pull weight. The DB15B is also easy to carry with its slick, slim design. It can be paired with a range bag for convenient transport and storage.
